Our gymnastics tumbling classes are set aside for our more advanced acrobats and students aged 9 years and over.
They also cater to both boys and girls.
Gymnasts are broken up into small groups after a vigorous warm-up and a short group stretch session, depending on their skills level.
Various skills are taught, including forward and backward walkovers, round-offs, handsprings, backflips, baranis, aerials, sommies, layouts, twisting etc. Students in these classes are generally up to joining two or more skills together.
We also do a small amount of strength and flexibility exercises to ensure the body is safely prepared for the taught skills. The variety of these skills is introduced using soft carpeted mats and safe landing mats; however, we also use various other equipment to assist in skill progressions, such as trampolines, springboards, crash mats, and spotting boxes, wedges, wall bars etc. Our best teaching device is our inflatable tumbling track (Airtrack)!
